智研院与集成电路学院“院院合一，融合发展”，围绕国家战略需求和全球集成电路发展趋势，合力攻关RISC-V 高性能CPU，进行有组织的科研，突破“卡脖子”关键技术，推动科研成果产业化。与业界领军企业联合发布了业界首款RISC-V服务器CPU，助力RISC-V CPU迈向高性能计算领域。开始建立全栈能力，成立国内第一个RISC-V开源社团，规划建设包括CPU核、固件、操作系统、数据库等中间件全栈开源生态，助力学术和产业发展。
Academy of Intelligent Innovation (AII) of Shandong University is located in the Jinan campus of Shandong University. AII is an academic special zone directly under Shandong University， oriented towards internationalization, intelligence, and industrialization. AII aims to lead the progress of intelligent technology and empower industries, with the goal of becoming a cradle of RISC-V technology.
AII is actively practicing the two "Early and Pilot Implementation", optimizing the innovation mechanism and collaborative research, gathering talents like chair professors, special professors, Taishan scholars, and building a talent system based on "scientific and technological leaders (strategic scientists), scientific and technological talents (professors, researchers), engineers"; AII has established research and industrial innovation platforms such as the Provincial Key Laboratory of New Generation Semiconductor Technology and System and the Shandong University - SOPHON RISC-V research institute, and has built an IC design platform, including a large computing center and a full set of genuine EDA design tools from EDA vendors.
AII and the School of Integrated Circuits are integrating and developing together. Focusing on national strategic needs and global trends in integrated circuit development, working together to tackle RISC-V high-performance CPU, conducting organized scientific research, breaking through the stranglehold of key technologies, and promoting the industrialization of scientific research achievements. AII has jointly released the industry's first RISC-V server CPU with a leading enterprise, promoting RISC-V CPU move towards higher computing performance . Starting to establish a full stack capability, establishing the first RISC-V open source community in China, and planning to build a full stack open source ecosystem of middleware including CPU cores, firmware, operating systems, databases, etc., to support academic and industrial development.
